Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. Her name is associated with the start of research in modern science on children's memory of eyewitnesses and the role of children as victims within court settings. Professor Goodman published widely and has won multiple grants, and been awarded numerous internationally and national awards. She has worked with many government agencies and institutions around the globe on research and policies relating to children who are victims of the justice system. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center that was formerly known as it was the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of several professional associations, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of America Psychological Association's Developmental Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
